Founded by Arsen Serobian (Bolshoi-trained dancer, founder of Dance Channel TV) and Oksana Vasileva (Master’s graduate of the Bolshoi Ballet Academy, certified Vaganova teacher), UCB is opening in Northern California to set a new standard of ballet education — blending classical tradition with modern innovation.
Our Vision & Mission
Universal Conservatory of Ballet stands as a model institution for excellence in classical ballet and performing arts education. Nestled in the vibrant heart of Northern California, our academy embodies the principles of artistic integrity, technical mastery, and individual growth.
We are committed to cultivating disciplined, well-rounded performers through a balanced approach that blends tradition, innovation, and personalized instruction.

A Proven Record of Excellence
Few schools can claim what Oksana Vasileva has achieved: preparing multiple students and ensembles for the world’s largest student ballet competition, Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP). Her students have won the prestigious Hope Award, as well as first, second, and third place awards, including multiple ensemble first-place victories.
Together, Arsen and Oksana bring international credentials, global performance experience, and a track record of student success to Sacramento — raising the bar for ballet education in the region.
Why Universal Conservatory of Ballet?
There are many ballet schools — but UCB is different.

Beyond the Studio: Learn Ballet Online
The Universal Conservatory of Ballet is built on more than studio training — it draws on a legacy of innovation in ballet education.
In 2019, just before the global pandemic, Arsen Serobian founded Learn Ballet Online, an international learning platform designed to bring the Vaganova syllabus to students around the world. At a time when dance training risked interruption, Arsen created structured online courses to preserve the integrity of classical ballet education.
Through this platform, thousands of dancers have gained access to:
-
A carefully developed syllabus aligned with the Bolshoi and Vaganova traditions
-
Video demonstrations of correct technique and progressions
-
Professional coaching available regardless of geographic location
-
Certification options for students, teachers, and professionals
What started as a solution to bridge students through uncertain times has grown into a global classroom — with students from the U.S., Europe, and Asia training consistently under Arsen’s guidance.
By combining this digital expertise with UCB’s in-person instruction, students in Sacramento will have access to a truly 21st-century model of dance education — one that combines the precision of classical ballet with the reach of modern technology.
Q&A with Our Founders
Q: Why Sacramento?
-
Arsen: “This region is growing fast, with families who deeply value education and the arts. We want to make world-class ballet training accessible right here, without families needing to relocate to bigger cities.”
Q: What makes UCB different from other ballet schools?
-
Oksana: “We’re not just teaching steps. We prepare dancers for real success — competitions, auditions, and the stage. At the same time, we welcome children who simply want to enjoy the beauty of ballet.”
Q: What do you want parents to feel when they join?
-
Arsen: “That they are part of a family. A place where children are pushed to grow but supported every step of the way. Ballet is about discipline, yes, but it’s also about joy when you have proper technique and confidence.”
